Post-Procedure Instructions:

1.  You may not drink or eat anything for 2 hours after taking the capsule.
2.  You can drink water after 2 hours.
3.  You may have a light snack after 4 hours.
4.  Avoid strenuous activity, bending, stooping, sudden jarring movements while the test is in progress.
5.  Check the BLUE blinking light on the recorder every 15 minutes. If it is not flashing, please call 410.583.2614. 6.  Do not attempt to adjust anything on the recorder yourself.
7.  Check all bowel movements while test is in progress to see if the capsule is passed prematurely.
8.  If capsule does pass before 8 hours is up, have abdominal pain, nausea or vomiting, report back to the Green Spring Station clinic.
9.  At 3:30pm, report back to Green Spring Station to have the recorder removed.
10. Results of the procedure will be available in 2-3 weeks. Consult your physician.
11. If the capsule does not pass in 5-7 days, please notify your physician.

IMPORTANT: Do not come within close proximity of a powerful electromagnetic source, such as MRI's or HAM radios, while the capsule is inside your body.
